The Expo, now in its 7th year of providing information and networking to board members, property managers and real estate professionals will return to the Meadowlands Expo Center on May 7, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Not only is this one day event offered for FREE, Yale Robbins Publications, LLC, the parent company of The New Jersey Cooperator, will again offer board members attending the 2014 show a chance to enter into a drawing to win $2,500 for their building’s reserve fund.
Board president Lane Goldstein won the 2013 grand prize for his Plateau Gardens Corp. 10 building co-op in Fort Lee.
Goldstein was pleased to have won on behalf of his board and Delev Corp., the board’s property manager in Totowa. He said that the funds, which were added to the building’s capital projects fund, were earmarked for major projects outside of regular maintenance.
For example, one ongoing project at the 144-unit property is energy-related, he said. “Our intention is to use this for two generators to back up our heating and domestic hot water; it is a two-year project.”
The property is also getting its parking lot resurfaced and extra funds should help as well, Goldstein said.
Goldstein was happy to have won and is an old hand at attending trade shows, having been to the New Jersey Expo three years in a row. He plans to attend again in 2014 and is looking forward to it.
You too can win extra cash by attending the Expo. Only board members qualify to enter the reserve fund drawing, and attendance at the Expo is required for eligibility. For complete details on how to enter the reserve fund drawing, visit the Expo website, www.nj-expo.com/conditions.
Bigger and Better Than Ever
The Expo is the premier event for everyone involved in the condo, HOA and co-op industry. Whether you’ve just taken a seat on your co-op or condominium board, or are a veteran at association leadership, the Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo is the largest trade show and educational event of its kind in the Garden State. And don’t forget, it’s FREE to attend, whether you’re walking the exhibit floor or attending the educational seminars.
We know, running a co-op or condo isn’t easy. There are vendors to hire, budgets to balance and complaints to field. How do you find the right professional for each job that needs to be done? How do you keep the property looking sharp when finances are tight? Where do you turn for answers — without breaking the bank on legal fees?
For the past seven years, the Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo has been the answer for board members, property managers, real estate professionals, shareholders and unit owners trying to keep their buildings running efficiently. Where else can you receive bids on almost all of your building’s needs in one day and one place! More than 250 exhibitors providing everything from asbestos abatement to window replacement will all be there May 7th at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus.
Advice, Information and Networking
Seminars running throughout the day will bring you up-to-date information on management, legal, financial and other hot-button issues. And you’ll have a full day to talk to exhibitors about the products and services that are essential to every community’s success, from paving to painting, and parking to pest control. If your board or association has been suffering from bedbug infestations or watching utility bills skyrocket, the exhibit hall aisles will be your avenues to answers.
And, if you plan to attend the seminars, come early for valuable instruction, free advice—and even FREE admission!
