Finally, the big day has arrived: it's The New Jersey Cooperator's third annual Condo, HOA, & Co-op Expo. Yale Robbins, Inc. and The New Jersey Cooperatorwelcome you all back on Wednesday, May 5th to the Meadowlands Exposition Center. Since its debut in 2008, the Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo has quickly established itself as a unique event that addresses the diverse, evolving needs of the Garden State's condo and HOA communities.
This year brings over 200 exhibitors to the show, offering assistance and expert advice in the areas of building management, maintenance, insurance, security, energy and countless other services. Attendees will also be able to choose from among an exciting lineup of informational seminars of great interest to condo owners and administrators alike. Also the time has been changed to 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. to allow busy professionals to take time out of their daily routines to enjoy the show to the fullest.
More Than Just a Trade Show
While it does include scores of vendor booths and demos, The New Jersey Cooperator’sCondo, HOA & Co-op Expo is really more than just another trade show. The event offers members of the residential real estate community a chance to interact and network with HOA and condo board members, residents, vendors and service providers from many diverse industries and disciplines. The seminar roster begins at noon, when National Condo Advisors, LLC will present "New Rules, New Headaches: Cutting Through Bureaucratic Red Tape." Company president Orest Tomaselli will discuss the new rules and processes required for condominium project approval and financing through both the Federal Housing Administration and Fannie Mae. Come learn how the services National Condo Advisors, LLC provides to builders, developers, lenders, investors, and homeowners’ associations can streamline this process to ensure both financing for condominium purchasers and the success of these developments.
At 1:30, Lawrenceville-based law firm Stark & Stark will present "Legal and Legislative Update: Important Decisions, New Laws, and How They Impact Your HOA." Attorneys David J. Byrne, A. Christopher Florio and Donald B. Brenner will discuss precedent-setting legal decisions, as well as new and proposed legislation and its impact on New Jersey's condominium and homeowner associations.
At 3:00, a panel of landscaping professionals including Alan Milstein of Live Oak Landscaping, Aaron Kurdyla of HighTech Landscapes, and Steven Jomides of Lawns by Yorkshire will discuss "Landscaping for Year-Round Beauty," examining planting and maintenance schedules for HOAs, discussing various landscaping elements throughout the year and season by season. Come learn from the pros how to keep your community spruced up and looking its best.
Finally, at 5:30, a panel of management professionals including Paul Santoriello of Taylor Management, Michael Cervelli of Cervelli Management, Bonnie Bertan of Association Advisors and moderator J. David Ramsey of the law firm of Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis, LLP will present "Manager Performance: Evaluating, Cooperating, Improving," which will ask the question, What makes a good property manager and how one can get the most out of the board/manager/resident relationship.
Each seminar at this year’s Expo will run around an hour in length, giving you enough time between talks to check out the booths on the exhibit floor and enjoy the show’s other attractions.
