The Expo, now in its 8th year of providing information and networking opportunities to board members, property managers and real estate professionals, will return to the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Bigger and Better Than Ever
The Expo is the premier event for everyone involved in the condo, HOA and co-op industry. Whether you’ve just taken a seat on your co-op or condominium board, or are a veteran at association leadership, the Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo is the largest trade show and educational event of its kind in the Garden State. And don’t forget, it’s FREE to attend, whether you’re walking the exhibit floor or attending the educational seminars.
We know, running a co-op or condo isn’t easy. There are vendors to hire, budgets to balance and complaints to field. How do you find the right professional for each job that needs to be done? How do you keep the property looking sharp all year round? Where do you turn for answers — without breaking the bank on legal fees?
For the past seven years, board members, property managers, real estate professionals, shareholders and unit owners have relied on the Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo to keep their buildings running efficiently. More than 250 exhibitors providing everything from asbestos abatement to window replacement will be on hand to help and provide information all in one place, all in one day.
Winner-Winner
One popular attraction that draws attendees each year are the door prizes, including a grand prize of $2,500 for one lucky community association. Yale Robbins Publications, LLC, the parent company of The New Jersey Cooperator, will offer board members attending the 2015 show a chance to win that prize just by attending the show. The 2014 winner was Deb Conway, president of the Darlington Ridge Condominium Association, which is based in Mahwah.
“We are very grateful for the winnings, as we have an abundance of capital projects in our community,” says Conway.
When asked how the money will be used at Darlington Ridge, Conway says the community needs, currently, to invest in reconstruction and lighting. “Funds will be used for new LED light fixtures,” she says, as part of the community’s current lighting, wood stair replacements, and cement stair improvement projects.
A repeat attendee at The New Jersey Cooperator’s Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo, Conway emphasises the value of making useful industry contacts every year she attends. “This was not our first time attending the Expo,” she says. “It’s a great way to connect with vendors, and discuss project needs and solutions.”
You, too, can win extra cash by attending the Expo. Only board members qualify to enter the reserve fund drawing, and attendance at the Expo is required for eligibility. For complete details on how to enter the reserve fund drawing, visit the Expo website, www.nj-expo.com/conditions.
Advice, Information and Networking
Seminars running throughout the day will bring you up-to-date information on management, legal, financial and other hot-button issues. And you’ll have a full day to talk to exhibitors about the products and services that are essential to every community’s success, from paving to painting, and parking to pest control. If your board or association has been suffering from bedbug infestations or watching utility bills skyrocket, the exhibit hall aisles will be your avenues to answers.
And, if you plan to attend the seminars, come early for valuable instruction, free advice—and don’t forget, admission is FREE!
